#MakerFaire

In any industry, you encounter buzz words like: Makerspace, creating, coding, 3D printing, robotics, drones, etc.  This past weekend was the 6th annual MakerFaire and families, children, makers and enthusiasts came out in droves to attend the event.

The Maker Faire, "is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement." http://makerfaire.com/makerfairehistory/

This year The Learn to Solder Make Shed, sponsored by Google, was great fun! To create your own rocket CLICK HERE

Google was also showing off their Google Cardboard and newly launched Expeditions programs for Schools.  Google Expeditions is a virtual reality platform built for the classroom with more than 100 engaging journeys - making it easy to immerse students in entirely new experiences.

Children were able to participate in MAKEing rockets, mixtures circuits, and more.

There were so many great new ideas for hands on projects for Pre-K - Adult.
